Hello all,

After a long day of traveling, we finally arrived at the host village we have been waiting to see.  We were greeted by the smiling faces of the Youth Union organization that we would be working with and we spoke with a few of the Youth Union members over dinner, then went off to bed early to prepare for our first day of work.

The next day, we got an early start and biked to all three work sites to meet the recipients of the homes that we are building.  Everyone was extremely welcoming and excited to see us. After a long day of biking and a good night of sleep, the day we have been waiting for finally arrived. Another early wake-up was followed by breakfast and house assignments, then we were finally on our way to start building houses! A long week full of learning Vietnamese, teaching English, and working hard finally concluded with our journey to Quang Ngai for the weekend.  We are tired but excited for our first weekend excursion!
